Dear Friends,

Yesterday we sent the information below about our plans to address the challenges of COVID-19. Please reread as we have fixed a few links, including one for electronic giving, and added some information about talking with children about Coronavirus.
Friends in Christ,

Yesterday we forwarded to you a letter from Bishop Goff directing us to refrain from physically gathering for worship and public gatherings due to concerns about the Coronavirus pandemic.

I am writing to update you on actions St. David's is taking during this unusual time. All physical gatherings for worship at St. David's are cancelled from March 12 through March 25.

However, we will worship together this Sunday March 15 and next Sunday March 22. Join us on Facebook Live at 10 am for the Liturgy of the Word. You can find the bulletin for the service here . If you have a Book of Common Prayer at home, have it handy if you like. A recording of the service will also be posted on our website . After the service, join us at 10:45 for virtual coffee hour at Zoom . Please download the Zoom app prior to Sunday morning.    Bring your questions, concerns, God sightings and ideas for ministry.

All meetings and events scheduled at the church are cancelled March 12 - March 25. Our preschool is closed and following the LCPS schedule. AA and NA will continue to meet on campus at their discretion. Shepherd groups will meet in peoples' homes at their discretion.  After this two week period, the situation will be reevaluated to decide how to proceed regarding public worship and other matters.

Our church staff and I will continue to work regular hours.  We are arranging to have the church, school and office building deep cleaned in this down time. Please call or email us in the office if you have questions or need assistance.  Our preschool has provided resources to help young families cope with the virus.  You can find the link here   For pastoral emergencies please call 571-236-7749.

A friendly reminder: Please keep up your pledge in this interim time. Your pledge is essential! This would be an ideal time to sign up for e-giving or make an electronic payment .

While we are physically 'distancing', we will continue to be connected as a loving, faithful covenant community. The church is more than a gathering in person on Sunday morning. Pray for one another, our community and the world. Pray for those who are ill and those who care for them. Pray for researchers, public health workers and those who make decisions. Call your neighbors. Be kind and share. God is good - all the time. Live without fear. With God's help, we will get through this together.

Yours in Christ,

Rev. Mary Kay+
