Keeping you up to date on the many ways Beverly Bootstraps provides critical resources to families and individuals so they may achieve self-sufficiency.
Who are America's poor?

In 2016  nearly 41 million people, or 13% of the population, were living in poverty  - down from 15% at the height of the recession in 2010. However,
the fact that only about four out of 10 working-age adults in poverty are employed, highlights the fact that simply closing what we have called "the jobs gap" does not mean that everyone is thriving.

It also does not mean everyone finds employment.  Well over half of working-age adults in poverty are still not in the labor force.

Through our Adult Education Programs, Beverly Bootstraps helps our clients find employment and find better paying jobs.

How you can help:

Diapers are always needed at the Food Pantry
Did you know that 1/3 of American families struggle to afford diapers? A one year supply of diapers for one child is $1,000 and is not covered by SNAP. A working mom who makes $23,000 a year, will spend 4% of her income on diapers. And there are e normous health issues associated with children staying in dirty diapers.

Please consider donating diapers (all sizes needed) to the Food Pantry.

Thank you!
