A LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Hello Shakopee Chamber Members,

In light of new information and statewide actions regarding response to the spread of Coronavirus/COVID-19, the Shakopee Chamber is taking action with our staff and members' safety in mind, while seeking to ensure timely delivery of critical Chamber services for our members.

We are not closing down the Chamber. We are open for business and moving to a "work distancing" model. Below is our action plan that will be implemented effective Tuesday, March 17.

1. No in-person meetings with external guests will be happening at the Chamber office. We will be conducting meetings over the phone.

2. Chamber staff that can work from home are encouraged to do so. We will have a staggered presence at the office to ensure that essential job duties are fulfilled. We will not be unlocking the doors to the office, however.

3. In-person chamber events, including ChamberNet, are cancelled for the next 8 weeks or until further notice.

4. We will begin implementing Zoom technology and conference options to deliver chamber services.

We understand the need for up-to-date information and are committed to providing that to you. That will be delivered in several ways; please check your email and our website for continuous updates.

The MN Department of Health has a website providing guidance for all Minnesotans on slowing down the spread of COVID-19 in our state. Please keep this link on your computer and reference it often. There is a dedicated section for Businesses and Employers:

This is a time of uncertainty and is like nothing I've experienced in my professional career. I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but I do know that it is important that we all remain informed and levelheaded as we navigate this together. While business will not be "as usual", we will bring you all the latest updates on what the "new, but temporary, normal" looks like.

Be well, Chamber friends -
Angie
