FACEBOOK TELLS ME WHO I AM
Very interesting. According to Facebook's settings on my personal account -- the settings it serves up to potential advertisers and political propagandists -- I am a Liberal whose multicultural affinity is African-American.
Additionally, Facebook tells advertisers and political organizations that i like Rail Transport Models, Squirrels, and Tanagers!

Looking deeper, the blankety-blame thing says i am a fan of the bands ABBA and Kiss, and that i enjoy "Extreme Metal" music! WTF. This is a fucking NIGHTMARE! No wonder this SHIT MUSIC keeps on showing up in my feed. Damn. Damn. DAMN!
I am horrified at the craziness in this algorithm. The idea that one who supports racial justice must ipso facto "be" African American is SO FUCKING RACIST!!!!!!
For the record, my husband, nagasiva, also came up "African American." I suspect Facebook is running some kind of "one friend rule" or "one post rule" (as in the old segregationist "one drop rule"):

Have Black friends on Facebook? Black.
Think Tamir Rice deserved better than getting shot to death in 1.5 seconds while playing in the park? Black.
And, weirdly, while i type this, siva is in his office across the hall playing and loudly singling along to two pieces of music, alternating them multiple times (20 times each, so far) -- AT! TOP! VOLUME! -- "Me and My Chauffeur Blues" by Memphis Minnie and "I Want To Be Your Driver" by Chuck Berry. Black. Black. Black. Black.
I just dug deeper and found out that Facebook thinks i am interested in purchasing Drywall and Lipstick. What the actual fuck?
Well, it got "Rail Transport Model" and "Squirrel" right -- but "Happy Hour" and "Scooters" ???? I think not.
Facebook's algorithm is like a madman, babbling in the corner, "Organic Compound" ... "Endangered Species" ... "Flannel" ... "Tanager" ... "Magic (Paranormal)" ... "Comic Strip" ... "Hanukkah" ... "Vegetarian" ... This is so Phillip K. Dickensian!
(Meanwhile, a male Western Tanager in adult breeding plumage says, "Thanks for liking me!" You're welcome, little Tanager! LOL!)

Rebuilding the Church: Candle Services
Rocky Carlson did a beautiful job of finishing off what was the raw foundation of our old church site (a concrete slab) so we can use it as an area where we will resume out candle services! What was once the foundation of Missionary Independent Spiritual Church is now a raised platform for candle burning services. Thank you, Rocky.
