Reflections from Fr. Rick

God is on the move at St. Michael's. God is drawing our hearts together and doing something good and beautiful in us and with us. St. Michael's is called to be a real Gospel presence in College Park. God wants to recapture our hearts, the heart of St. Michael's and the heart of College Park with his wondrous Gospel love.

One of the ways we want to make our presence known to a new generation of people in College Park is through fun and engaging events like our SPRING FLING CARNIVAL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 27, FROM 5 to 8 PM. This is an opportunity to invite others to "come and see" and experience our hospitality and love.

Our SPRING FLING CARNIVAL is open to our College Park neighborhood and our extended St. Michael's family. Bring your children or grandchildren for an hour or so to share in the fun and excitement while supporting the St. Michael's mission and ministry to families. The proceeds will help fund a new playground on our St. Michael's campus.

Additionally, we really need your help to make our SPRING FLING CARNIVAL a success. Would you be willing to serve for an hour or so? We need help with ticket collection, distributing popcorn, cotton candy, etc. If you are willing to serve, you may visit our sign-up page and schedule the time you are willing to serve:      Click Here

Mark your calendar and come support your St. Michael's family and meet some new families from our neighborhood!

In Christ's Love,

Spiritual Retreat -- Spend Time With God
A Message From Music Director Andrew Walker

I am making a Spiritual Retreat again this Summer at the Community of the Transfiguration, a convent on the NW side of Cincinnati:    Spiritual Retreat
Monday - Friday, July 23-27, 2018.

This is a truly sacred, beautiful space, and the people there are most kind and hospitable.  There are also some interesting shared connections with St. Michael's Day, connections that have always encouraged thoughts of establishing some kind of relationship between our two locations.

If there is anyone in the parish also thinking of making a Spiritual Retreat, I would be happy to have you join me in reference to:
  • Possible sharing of travel costs between airport to convent
  • Serving as a guide/resource to those unfamiliar with the daily flow of life at a convent
  • As desired (or not), facilitate meeting/discussion times a few times during the week, or even daily

If you would like more information, please contact me at your convenience.

Soli Deo Gloria,
Andrew

How About the "Singing Thing" through May?

Always wanted to see if that voice from High School/College was still there? Been on the fence?  Would you like to try to see if this is for you?

We have two months left for our "robed choir Sundays"-- April & May, so why not "HAVE A GO"! Adults and Youth (Birth through Middle School) -- see the Church or Music Dept. website for descriptions of each choir.

Check out our Website Calendar page to see the schedule:  Choir Calendar

Contact Andrew at Church for more info - or just show up to a rehearsal!

REMEMBER: with the choir area two 42" monitors and close-ups of anyone who is speaking and ALL the action of the Liturgy -- we have the best seats in the house!
