Belin 101
Sundays at 10 AM
Beginning April 22
Family Life Center

New members, prospective members, and anyone wishing to learn more about our United Methodist faith are invited to attend this five-week introductory class. Classes will include a historic prospective, worship practices, the calendar, Methodist doctrines and beliefs, our mission and ministry, and opportunities to serve at Belin Memorial.

Class dates: April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20

Please call the church office if you plan to attend so that we may prepare class materials accordingly (843.651.5099).

Blessing of the Inlet Setup Sunday
It's Setup Sunday
April 22, 12:15 PM

Pitch in to help with Blessing of the Inlet booth setup after worship services on April 22 . . . it's all hands on deck!

We need volunteers, men and women, to move the booth panels out of storage, haul them to the church, and then put the booths together. Instruction and guidance in this process will be available.
WE NEED YOU!
  • Dress in casual work clothes for worship services on April 22
  • Bring work gloves
  • Wear closed toe shoes
  • Bring a 9/16" battery powered nut driver (if you have one)
  • Bring a friend or neighbor
If you have access to a large trailer (over 8' in length) or a truck with a 2 1//8" or 2 1/4" ball hitch that can haul a trailer, please contact Bill Keesee for more information on how you can assist ([email protected], 843.458.9165).

A Day of Faith, Food, Family, Fun, and Fellowship!

Free admission, rain or shine
Blessing Ceremony at 11:30 AM

Shuttle Bus Rides
Enjoy ample parking and free shuttle rides to/from Inlet Square Mall from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

Handicapped Parking
 . . . is available at the back of the parking field with golf cart pick up/drop off.

NEW! Field of Games
Come on out to the Field of Games and demonstrate your mastery of throwing, tossing, riding, aiming, and accuracy. Prizes will be given.

The game line up: Sombrero Toss, Corn Hole, Spill the Milk, Basketball Shootout, Murrells Inlet Derby, Touchdown Toss, and Break the Plate. Tickets to play are 25 cents each or 5 tickets for a dollar.

Bake Sale Donations
The Miracle Seekers Circle is asking for donations of home baked goods from all the wonderful Belin cooks and bakers. Mark your calendar now. Cakes, pies, bars, cookies, and any other food items will be accepted on Friday, May 4, from 10 AM - 3 PM, or after 9 AM on May 5 in the Family Life Center.

BOI Volunteers Needed
Volunteer cards are now available in the pews of The Sanctuary and in the welcome baskets at The Harbor. Please fill one out on Sunday and drop in the offering plate.  Many volunteers are needed to carry out this great celebration each year. Coastal School Ministries Selected as Honored Charity
The Blessing of the Inlet Committee has selected Coastal School Ministries as the honored charity for 2018.  Coastal School Ministries is a released time Bible education program where students in our local schools are transported to a host facility and provided instruction with a qualified teacher in firm command of the Bible. The cost is $10 for short sleeve or $20 for long sleeve. Cash or checks (made payable to Belin UMC Youth Ministry) accepted. Sizes range from Youth Extra Small to Adult 4XL. BOI shirts make great gifts for Easter baskets and are a great way to support Belin's Youth Ministry!

55+ Singles
New Outings Planned!

- On April 21 we will visit Brookgreen Gardens and have lunch at the Pavilion Cafe. Meet at Brookgreen at 10:30 AM or carpool from Murrells Inlet Mall.

- On April 26 we will have dinner at Gulfstream Cafe in Garden City at 5:30 PM (RSVP by April 25).

Hot, Healthy Meals Delivered

Meals can be delivered five days a week on a temporary or long-term basis to those in need (free or nominal cost, based on ability to pay).

Rollie Hanna Breakfast meets next on April 18 at 8:30 AM in the Family Life Center. Join us for a good breakfast and devotion by Mike Alexander.

Just a reminder that the Gathering Fellowship Dinners have been cancelled this month and may be offered for future dates if we gather a few volunteers to lead cooking teams. Contact Brandy Streett if you are interested ([email protected], 843.357.5180).
