Taste of Chicago, the world's largest FREE- admission food festival, returns this July 11 to 15 in Grant Park. Come for the over 300 menu items from more than 70 eateries; stay for the music, arts and family fun. The evening concert lineup includes Juanes, Brandi Carlile, yasiin bey and Talib Kweli are Black Star, The Flaming Lips, George Clinton and more. Taste of Chicago Concert Tickets Are On Sale Now
Taste of Chicago, the world's largest free food festival, features delicious eats from over 70 restaurants and food vendors. Get Your Taste Oasis Day Passes
The Taste of Chicago will feature a new Taste Oasis, an air conditioned lounge in Butler Field offering tasty bites, cold water, a private bar, executive washrooms, music and more. Taste Oasis will be open throughout normal Taste of Chicago festival hours, but it's a particularly great spot to hang out before and after the Petrillo Music Shell Concerts. Day passes for this exclusive area are $50 and are on sale now at tasteofchicago.us.

Chicago Film Office Announced Record Film Activity
Mayor Emanuel and DCASE's Chicago Film Office recently announced that 10 TV shows will film this summer and fall in Chicago. Four new shows beginning production in Chicago include South Side on Comedy Central, Lovecraft Country on HBO, Red Line on CBS and Proven Innocent on FOX. The hit NBC series Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med will all return this summer, and continue filming through April 2019. The Chi on Showtime, Easy on Netflix and Empire on FOX will begin filming this summer. 2017 was a record level activity for local film and media production in Chicago. Last year saw record level activity for local film and media production in Chicago, resulting in an estimated $423 million in local job creation and expenditures.

Born to Create presents an eclectic collection of original art created by Chicago high school teens submitted to the Chicago Public Library 2017 Teen Winter Challenge. In honor of the 2018 Year of Creative Youth hosted by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE),
Born to Create brings together 18 artists and 33 works of painting, photography, video art, fashion design, and musical composition. Works from the Teen Winter Challenge were featured in DCASE's Year of Creative Youth #BornCreative poster campaign, including a design (pictured) by young Chicago artist Victoria Goite.
