April 12, 2018
Greetings!

As our partners in mission, there are three items parents should be aware of for the coming week:

  • If you missed the presentation on Tuesday, Apr. 10 with author Stephen Smith about your child's digital tattoo, you can review his website here or purchase his book here. Additionally at this meeting, questions were answered about the Drug and Alcohol Universal Testing & Awareness program for the 2018-2019 school year. An updated FAQ page about the program can be found on the CJ website.

  • There is still time to contribute to this year's After Prom happening Saturday, Apr. 14 at Poelking Marian Lanes. Learn how you can help here .

  • Finally, this is a reminder that all students in the Class of 2020 will attend a motivational leadership workshop from Ted Wiese on Tuesday, Apr. 17 during the school day. Ted, an annual presenter at CJ, engages students in activities that grow skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. Learn more about Ted's program here. If you have questions about this experience, please contact me.

Spectacle
Friday, Apr. 20, Saturday, Apr. 21 and Sunday, Apr. 22 | UD, Kennedy Union
This world premiere original musical tells the story of the founding of the Marianists, featuring all the major players: Fr. William Joseph Chaminade, Marie-Thérèse de Lamourous, and Mother Adèle de Batz de Trenquelléon. Set during and after the French Revolution, the show tells the story of Fr. Chaminade's courage to do priestly ministry under persecution, Marie-Thérèse's efforts to improve women’s lives, and Adèle's struggle in choosing religion over marriage, while all three collaborated to build communities of faith. The title reminds us of Fr. Chaminade's call to all Marianists to be a "spectacle of saints." Tickets are available here .
