A Note from Pastor Marco regarding COVID-19 and FCC's Response

Dear FCC Family,

While we as followers of Jesus are not to be led by fear, we are called by God to walk in wisdom and to seek justice and compassion for our neighbors. We have been monitoring the conditions of public health and safety concerning the spread of COVID19 and seeking to comply with local and state public health recommendations. After consultation and prayer with our FCC Acting Chair, Paul Figueroa, and our church staff and leaders, we have decided to take a number of immediate precautionary measures. This is in order to cooperate with our local and state officials, to reduce the risk of spread of the virus, and to protect those who are most vulnerable in our church family and in our community. Please take some time to read the following updates below and to let others know who you think may be impacted.

I want to remind you of a reality that we confess together as Christians. We are the body of Christ all the time. We belong to God and to each other no matter how we choose to gather or organize. Jesus said that He would build His church and that the gates of hell could never stand against it!

Nothing can stop the body of Christ from praising God!
Nothing can stop the body of Christ from getting on its knees in fervent prayer for healing!
Nothing can stop the body of Christ from demonstrating God's justice and compassion!
Nothing can stop the body of Christ from having courage and hope in the risen Jesus!

May we continue to trust in God while we seek to be a safe community for everyone. May we reach out to check in on and encourage one another in the best ways possible. May we continue to listen to the Holy Spirit as we also hear updates from our public leaders. May we continue to pray for those affected and those most at risk. May we ask God to keep empowering us how to follow Jesus in our everyday lives.

With so much love for you,

Pastor Marco Ambriz

FCC COVID-19 Immediate Precautionary Measures
Effective March 12, 2020

Sunday Worship Moved Online Only through the end of March
Sunday Worship will take place online only for the next few weeks. Our campus doors will be closed on Sunday, March 15, Sunday March 22, and Sunday, March 29. We will reevaluate our worship plan for the following weeks as we monitor the situation.

We will be providing an online worship experience via Facebook Live . Please join us on Facebook at 9am. If you cannot join us live via Facebook, the recorded service for each Sunday will be posted on our church website as close to 11am as possible. Please consider keeping the commitment to worship together with our church family if you are able to view the online services.

Online Giving and Stewardship
Many churches experience a significant drop in giving when physical attendance is low. This can negatively impact our ministry. Would you please consider remaining faithful to our joint commitment to giving despite our campus closures? We are grateful for the generosity of so many in our community. Every contribution of the body of Christ makes a difference!
