July 13 - OCWLA Promoting Equity: The Influence Of Unconscious Gender Bias
The Orange County Women Lawyers Association (OCWLA) will present an Elimination of Bias program with L. Song Richardson, Dean and Professor of Law, UC Irvine School of Law, entitled "Promoting Equity: The Influence Of Unconscious Gender Bias". Friday, July 13th from 11:45 AM - 1:30 PM at Andrei's Conscious Cuisine, 2607 Main Street, Irvine, 92614. Free Valet Parking at Andrei's with event registration.

Many individuals believe in gender equality and reject discrimination in any form. Yet,  unconscious mental processes which are shaped over time by history and culture can lead us to view the world through a biased lens and to behave contrary to our deeply held  egalitarian values. Dean Richardson will discuss these unconscious mental processes and how they can influence decision-making and judgment. She will end with some recommendations for safeguarding against the influence of these unconscious biases. The presentation includes a catered lunch.
One Hour Elimination of Bias MCLE Credit.
