Texas STEM Connections is a web-based tool that makes it easy for STEM professionals to connect with K-20 educators, classrooms, out of school time programs, and other volunteer opportunities. Professionals can share their skills and expertise to bring real-world, authentic learning opportunities to all our students helping to create the next generation of innovators. Through in-person matches and virtual sessions, professionals can help educators and program providers connect their students to the world of STEM. Together we can make a difference.

Join the Texas Girls Collaborative Project for our 2nd Annual Texas Women and Girls in STEM Summit designed to share best practices, connect organizations and individuals, and showcase outstanding efforts to increase the number of girls in STEM and support the retention of women in STEM careers. STEM professionals and all who are engaged in education, outreach, recruitment, and/or retention of women and girls in STEM are invited to join in.
This event is hosted during Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek), held in recognition of the birthday of computing pioneer Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906), and is one of the many events or programs joining in the Greater Austin STEM Ecosystem's CSEdWeek amplification.

The 2019 Engineering Research Symposium for Teachers will showcase research conducted by fellow K-12 STEM educators in Research Experience for Teachers (RET) programs. Participants will engage in: Breakout Sessions with hands-on activities, Poster presentations focusing on Nanotechnology, Computer Science, and/or Water-related topics, STEM conversations with research leaders at Rice University. Lunch will be provided for all attendees. The $10 Admission Fee will be refunded for K-12 Teachers who attend the full day of the Symposium. K-12 Teachers will also receive 6 hours on Continuing Education Credits for attending the full day. Chance to win $75, $100, or $150 worth of materials for your classrooms.

Call for Ideas asks Central Texans to identify health challenges, needs, and opportunities and to create ideas to address them. This is a great opportunity for community members in Central Texas (Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties) to get the resources they need to get their ideas off the ground – using local solutions to solve local problems. Community-Driven Initiatives develops the top ideas into projects that improve community health.

National Geographic makes grants to middle school educators in the United States, Mexico, and Canada for projects that help prepare middle school students to become stewards of the planet. The focus is on building geographic competency in middle school students and educators by fostering an explorer mindset and building understanding, appreciation, and value for the natural and social sciences at local, regional, and global levels.

The Frederick and Florence Bauder Endowment for the Support of Physics Teaching (Bauder Fund) was established to support special activities in the area of physics teaching. Applications should focus on the following: Development and distribution of innovative apparatus for physics teaching; Obtaining or building and supporting traveling exhibits of apparatus; Local workshops (up to $2,500) for teachers who spread the use of demonstration and laboratory equipment; Purchase of supplies for workshops, liability insurance for workshops, and demonstration programs.
