Dear Mercy Families,

We were notified late this afternoon by the Superintendent of the Archdiocese of Detroit, on behalf of the Archbishop, that all Catholic schools within the AOD are required to close (no classes) both tomorrow, Friday, March 13 and Monday, March 16. This school closure time is designated for facilities cleaning and professional development in preparation for potential online learning needs.

Additionally, all after school activities, athletics, meetings and events are cancelled Friday, March 13 through Monday, March 16 (including the SAT, Forensics Tournament, Mother & Daughter Reflection). At this time, please plan for school to be in session on Tuesday, March 17.

As always, thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we respond to the recommendations and requirements we receive from public health agencies, the Archdiocese of Detroit, Michigan Department of Education and athletics information from the MHSAA and Catholic High School League.

As a reminder, please routinely check your email and stay connected to Mercy health and safety announcements as well as previous communications and resources on our web page here and the school life calendar here.

Sincerely,
Mercy High School Administration
