Celebrate National Assistant Principals Week, April 9-13

The National Association of Elementary School Principals and the American Federation of School Administrators have designated the week of April 9 as National Assistant Principals Week.

Let's all take time this week to honor assistant principals and acknowledge their key role in the achievements of schools and students throughout the District.

Save the Dates and Submit a Presentation Proposal for the Summer Literacy Institute

The Division of Teaching and Learning will host the  PreK-12 Summer Literacy Institute, with this year's theme of "Riding the Wave of Literacy Through the Content Areas."

Attendees can apply to present during a breakout session to share their expertise in successful strategies for teaching reading and/or writing in all content areas. Breakout sessions are 80 minutes in length. Learn more...

Every year, more than 40,000 children, adults, and seniors dedicate well over 630,000 hours to District schools, working tirelessly in a variety of roles.
