Sharsheret Receives 3rd Consecutive Grant From The CDC
We are pleased to announce Sharsheret will receive a five-year $1.8 million cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ) to fund our “LINK Program-Outreach and Education Initiative,” which provides dedicated programs and services for women diagnosed with breast cancer.

Three BRCA Studies You Should Know About
BRCA Founder Outreach (BFOR) Study , is a new initiative that combines the convenience of direct-to-consumer genetic testing with the guidance of a medical care provider. Sharsheret is honored to serve on the Community Advisory Board for the study, which is led by our Medical Advisory Board Member Dr. Kenneth Offit. The BFOR study offers no cost BRCA genetic testing to women and men of Ashkenazi (Eastern European) Jewish ancestry, age 25 or older, in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles metropolitan areas.

JScreen at Emory University, in partnership with the Winship Cancer Institute, has launched The PEACH BRCA Study in the metro-Atlanta area. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a new BRCA education and screening program for men and women with Ashkenazi Jewish background.

Pink Of View , an Israel-based startup, is developing a personalized risk indicator for breast cancer to enable early detection. Click here to learn more .

Thanks to our new partnership with Cedars-Sinai, Jessica Jablon has joined the Sharsheret team as the Valley Outreach Program Coordinator. In her role, Jessica works together with synagogues, local organizations, medical professionals and volunteers throughout the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, raising breast and ovarian cancer awareness through educational outreach and programming.
