Three BRCA Studies You Should Know About
|
|
BRCA Founder Outreach (BFOR) Study
, is a new initiative that combines the convenience of direct-to-consumer genetic testing with the guidance of a medical care provider.
Sharsheret is honored to serve on the Community Advisory Board for
the study, which is led by our Medical Advisory Board Member Dr. Kenneth Offit. The BFOR study offers no cost BRCA genetic testing to women and men of Ashkenazi (Eastern European) Jewish ancestry, age 25 or older, in New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles metropolitan areas.
JScreen
at Emory University, in partnership with the Winship Cancer Institute, has launched
The PEACH BRCA Study
in the metro-Atlanta area. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a new BRCA education and screening program for men and women with Ashkenazi Jewish background.
