2020 Scoutreach Thank You Luncheon
In place of our annual gala, this year, NNJC partnered with community groups to demonstrate our gratitude by delivering lunch to essential workers.
On Thursday, August 27 we provided 1,000 lunches for our healthcare and law enforcement partners who have demonstrated tremendous dedication to our communities.  Over 45 scouts participated all from Scoutreach packs and troops, Stem Scouts, and Law Enforcement Explorers.
2020 Scoutreach Food Drive
In conjunction with the Thank You Luncheon we also held a Food Drive. We collected over 2,500 lbs of food! This was then matched pound-for- pound by Goya Gives for a total of 5,000 pounds of food donated to three pantries: City Line Church Food Pantry in Jersey City, Evas Village in Paterson, and St Johns Soup Kitchen in Newark.
Though the event is over, you can still support our Scoutreach program! Your support makes events like this possible! Click below to visit our page to support these future leaders.
We would like to extend a HUGE thank-you to all our sponsors who made this incredible event possible:

WHAT HAPPENED IN AUGUST
Program Launch
We had a great evening hearing all about NNJC programs, events, and things to look forward to this year and beyond.
RESTARTING SCOUTING SAFELY
As always, the safety of our Scouts, volunteers, employees and communities is our top
priority. The BSA has issued guidelines for getting back to normal programming. This Restarting Scouting Checklist outlines several minimum guiding protocols that adult leaders/ volunteers must consider while working with local and state health departments, local councils, chartered organizations, and Scouting families. This checklist should be used to assist with resuming meetings, service projects, camping and all other official Scouting activities.
Family, Den/Patrol, and Day Camping
Are you ready to enjoy the great outdoors? If so come join us at one of our Northern New Jersey Camps for a weekend of camping and fun!!! Whether you are an avid camper or have never slept in a tent, family camping is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. Bring your tents, food, and enjoy the weekend! Your family can just relax and enjoy being outdoors or take advantage of fishing, hiking trails, family campfires, and campfire cooking.

We are now taking reservations for family, den, and patrol camping.

Family Camping: One registered scout with immediate and extended family only up to 20 people total.
Den/Patrol Camping: One registered scout with one parent/guardian up to a total number allowed per site.

Scouting has been a part of the northern New Jersey family story for over 110 years. Generations of Scouts fondly remember pinewood derbies, camporees, Scoutfest, Weboree and camping at No-Be-Bo-Sco, Turrell, Floodwood, Lewis and Yaw Paw. We are committed to future generations enjoying the same Scouting magic!
