2020 Scoutreach Thank You Luncheon
In place of our annual gala, this year, NNJC partnered with community groups to demonstrate our gratitude by delivering lunch to essential workers.
On Thursday, August 27 we provided 1,000 lunches for our healthcare and law enforcement partners who have demonstrated tremendous dedication to our communities. Over 45 scouts participated all from Scoutreach packs and troops, Stem Scouts, and Law Enforcement Explorers.

2020 Scoutreach Food Drive
In conjunction with the Thank You Luncheon we also held a Food Drive. We collected over 2,500 lbs of food! This was then matched pound-for- pound by Goya Gives for a total of 5,000 pounds of food donated to three pantries: City Line Church Food Pantry in Jersey City, Evas Village in Paterson, and St Johns Soup Kitchen in Newark.

RESTARTING SCOUTING SAFELY
As always, the safety of our Scouts, volunteers, employees and communities is our top
priority. The BSA has issued guidelines for getting back to normal programming. This Restarting Scouting Checklist outlines several minimum guiding protocols that adult leaders/ volunteers must consider while working with local and state health departments, local councils, chartered organizations, and Scouting families. This checklist should be used to assist with resuming meetings, service projects, camping and all other official Scouting activities.

NNJC Program Fee Reminder
Scouting has been a part of the northern New Jersey family story for over 110 years. Generations of Scouts fondly remember pinewood derbies, camporees, Scoutfest, Weboree and camping at No-Be-Bo-Sco, Turrell, Floodwood, Lewis and Yaw Paw. We are committed to future generations enjoying the same Scouting magic!
