Dear Assumption Community,

The Campus Continuity Task Force continues to monitor the unfolding COVID-19, coronavirus, situation.  We have a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff as we consider Assumption’s response in a measured way.

At the suggestion of the Task Force, given the rapid and sustained increases of confirmed cases of coronavirus internationally, all students, faculty and staff who traveled outside of the contiguous United States, or were on a cruise in the past week, are prohibited from returning to campus for a period of 14 days. The 14-day period begins on the date of re-entry to the United States and individuals must be seen and cleared by a physician – and provide proof of such -- prior to returning to campus.

If you traveled outside of the contiguous United States in the past week and have not done so already, please complete the Travel Registry Form so that faculty and supervisors can be notified of your impending absence. Please know that those who traveled outside of the contiguous United States who do not complete this form, will have unexcused absences from classes and faculty/staff will be assessed sick or vacation days for the 14-day period.

In addition, if you believe you may have been exposed to coronavirus, or someone in your home is exhibiting symptoms of such, please do not return to campus until you have been seen by a physician. Please notify your dean or supervisor in the event this applies to you.

Thank you in advance for your understanding as we strive to maintain a healthy and safe campus environment for the entire Assumption community.

Sincerely,
