Oct 18: Demonstration Project: Accessible Work Zones
Closed sidewalks in construction zones are a major nuisance to people who walk in Atlanta. It doesn't have to be this way.

Join us on Thursday, October 18 to experience a truly accessible work zone.  We're grateful to PSS, an authority on work zones, for partnering with us on the demonstration project.

Thurs, Oct 18,
5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
just south of Arts Center MARTA station,
but with a dreadful closed sidewalk in between

We're inviting City Council members, Public Works officials, developers and others to visit the site as well. Together, we'll learn more and raise our expectations.

On Friday morning, we'll provide a training workshop for transportation professionals that includes a presentation about pedestrian work zones, We'll then head out to experience and discuss the demonstration project at 10:30 a.m . If you're not available Thursday evening, feel free to join us Friday morning.
