WASHINGTON CAPITALS' DON FISHMAN TO SERVE AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT CHAMBER'S 94TH ANNUAL MEETING

Fishman serves as Assistant General Manager & Director of Legal Affairs for the 2018 Stanley Cup champions

ARLINGTON, Va. - As the Washington Capitals prepare to raise the Stanley Cup banner at tonight's season opener, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce announced today that Don Fishman, Assistant General Manager & Director of Legal Affairs for the Capitals, will serve as the keynote speaker at the 94th Annual Meeting. With over 300 attendees anticipated, the 94th Annual Meeting is a key event for the Arlington business community that will commemorate the Chamber's 2018 accomplishments, while looking ahead to 2019. The event will be held on Friday, December 7 from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel .

The insight that Don will provide into the operations and management of the 2018 Stanley Cup champions will be valuable for our members and set a positive tone for this exciting event."

Fishman handles player contract negotiations, player contract research and analysis, the club's day-to-day salary cap position, team salary cap strategic planning, the salary arbitration process, NHL and team salary cap analysis, and interpretation of NHL/NHLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) issues for the Capitals. Fishman also assists the club's general manager with the day-to-day operations of the Capitals hockey operations department such as roster issues, player movement, preseason and regular season scheduling, budgeting, and training camp planning.
