Governor-Elect Murphy & Lt. Governor-Elect Oliver Need to Hear From You!

In November, a new Governor and Lt. Governor were elected and they will begin their terms after being sworn into office on January 16, 2018. This is a critical opportunity for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families. If you care about and support a person with I/DD, now is the time to make our mark on the new administration. As with any newly elected official, it takes time to learn about all the issues impacting our state. It is our job, as advocates for people with I/DD, to make our issues the number one priority for Governor-Elect Phil Murphy and Lt. Governor-Elect Sheila Oliver and the process starts now.

Here's what you can do:
  1. Copy the following Tweet and send it out from your Twitter account:
@PhilMurphyNJ & @SheilaOliverNJ - The intellectual and developmental disability community looks forward to working with you in 2018! #TheArcFamilyAdvocacy

  2. If you can, download this image and attach it to your tweet
  3. Or, simply retweet The Arc of New Jersey's message, which you can find by clicking here.
We need tweets to go out to the incoming Governor & Lt. Governor between now &  Dec. 22.
So Take Action Today!
