Graduation 2018
Graduation is a KDS tradition which involves many activities and much planning and preparation. It the culmination of thirteen years of work and serves as the starting point for the next phase of these students' young lives. This year, 113 young men and women graduated from KDS DAR School. 

KDS Senior Awards Day
.
Senior Awards Day is a time to recognize graduating KDS seniors for their achievements and to award them scholarships which will enable them to pursue their future goals. On Friday, May 18th, approximately $811,650 in scholarships was presented to 69 deserving KDS graduates. 



KDS Art Students Excel in Competitions
.
KDS High School art students always do very well in local, as well as statewide competitions. Art teacher Zan Edmonds works with her students throughout the school year to prepare them for the end of the school year art shows. 

One very prestigious competition the artists compete in every year is the Fourth Congressional District Art Competition sponsored by Alabama Congressman Robert Aderholt. Several students' artwork was chosen.

KDS Middle School Tops in Marshall County
Scholars Bowl
.
KDS DAR Middle School Patriots Scholars Bowl team won the day at the Marshall County Middle School Scholars Bowl Tournament on May 4, hosted by Snead State Community College. The tournament pitted six Marshall County teams against one other, testing participants on their knowledge of general scholastic subjects.
