IPUL's E-News for October 16, 2020
Here are the highlights of our recent activity online. Not all everything is included due to timeliness. If an advertised event already took place, we've left it off.
Do You Have A Group IPUL Could Present To?
Last Saturday, (October 10, 2020) IPUL enjoyed the opportunity to present on special education to a small group of parents in northern Idaho via Zoom.

Remember, you don't have to wait for our monthly scheduled workshops/webinars. We can provide presentations on a variety of topics at any time. All you have to do is ask. And, with the help of technology, we can Zoom anywhere!

Contact our office at parents@ipulidaho.org or 208-342-5884 or via the Question form on any page of our website: ipulidaho.org and we'll get something set up for you and your group.

Families,

Did you know that IPUL provides scholarships to allow parents of children with disabilities (up to age 26) to attend conferences and events that will assist them with their child's education and care?

While there aren't many of these things happening in person right now, there are virtual conferences that you may be interested in attending where only a registration fee is required. We can help with that! We may also be able to help you locate a conference on a particular topic.

Drop us a line at parents@ipulidaho.org or call 208-342-5884 to learn more. You can find our scholarship forms on our website by clicking here: https://ipulidaho.org/other-services#about-this-process
Pocatello: Arts and Community Ticket Program
FYI - Sharing from Pocatello:

Marshall Public Library in Pocatello is offering an Arts and Community Ticket program; through it, patrons who have a library card can, free of charge, enjoy theater performances at Idaho State University’s L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center and peruse the exhibits at the Idaho Museum of Natural History or Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Museum. The program has been made available through a grant from the Pocatello Arts Council.

On the first Monday of each month October 2020 through May 2021, the library will distribute sets of tickets to each museum; sets include one adult and two youth tickets.

The library will also distribute sets of theater tickets on the first Monday of the months that a performance is offered; a schedule and other details are available at https://www.isu.edu/news/2020-spring/isu-school-of-performing-arts-department-of-theatre-and-dance-announce-2020-2021-season.html Most sets will include two adult tickets; those for “Elephant and Piggie,” however, will include two adult and two youth tickets.

Those who would like to obtain tickets can do so by “checking out” sets with their Marshall Public Library card, Public Services Supervisor Amy Campbell said. Because the library has typically distributed all tickets on the first day that they are available, Campbell added, she encourages those who are interested in participating to come at their earliest convenience.

Additional information about the opportunity is available from Campbell, who can be reached at 208-232-1263, ext. 105.

Marshall Public Library is accessible to people who have disabilities. Program access accommodations may be provided with at least three days’ notice by contacting City of Pocatello ADA Coordinator Skyler Beebe at sbeebe@pocatello.us; 208.234.6248; or 5815 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello.
