Unanimously approved by the CSG West Executive Committee during the 2018 Annual Meeting, CSG West welcomes Colorado State Representative Jeni Arndt as the incoming Vice Chair, commencing in 2019.
Representative Arndt has been an active member with CSG West and CSG for several years. In 2016, she attended the Western Legislative Academy hosted in Colorado Springs. During the 2017-18 biennium, she served as Vice Chair of the Agriculture and Water Committee. Most recently, she participated in the 2018 CSG Henry Tolls Fellowship program. Regarding CSG West, Representative Arndt says, "CSG West encompasses many values I hold dear: bi-partisanship, western experience, leadership training, research and practice, and commitment to our democratic process."
First elected in 2014, Representative Arndt has served the Colorado House of Representatives as Chair of the Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Resource Committee, as well as Chair of the Water Resource Review Committee. She was elected by her colleagues in the House as the Assistant Majority Caucus Chair for 2016-2018 and also serves as Co-Chair for the Sportsman's Caucus.
Outside of her legislative work, she has been a congressional intern, ESL teacher, Peace Corps volunteer, secondary special education teacher, middle school principal, International Baccalaureate Coordinator, university faculty member and department head. She has served on school boards in Indiana and in Mozambique, and currently lives in Fort Collins with her husband and has three adult children.
