EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NOTES
Hi Everyone!

This week has been filled with meetings and events, including our monthly board of directors meeting. It is amazing to see the energy in the room, and with a new director at the helm (that's me, of course), there's a lot of learning and growing to do. I'm so proud to be a part of such a wonderfully passionate team. We're talking about internal office updates, new members, new board members, and ways to work together to grow our organization.

With that in mind, mark your calendars for our Annual Dinner on November 14 - this is our most important meeting of the year where we vote on board members and also present the Pride in Potsdam and Commitment to the Community awards. Start thinking about who you're going to nominate!

I took a few minutes to reinstall these beautiful historic photographs of Potsdam donated by James and Abbe Theodore in a new spot in the office. While the new ideas and energy coming through these doors are exciting, it's important to reflect on the past and consider how we can learn and grow while staying true to the roots of our wonderful community - these images will be a great reminder of that. Brittany and I do want to continue to liven up the space here while celebrating our place, so if you have any Potsdam-related prints or photos you'd like us to display in the office, let me know and we'll see what we can do.

As I mentioned last time, I started collecting student email addresses, and I plan to start a regular student-specific email in the very near future. If you know any students who might be interested in this, please have them sign up for the newsletter using this form! And if you're a business looking to offer a special deal to students, let me know and I can include that in the email!

Again, I'd love to speak with you about what I can do to help you and your business, so please stop in to the office Monday - Friday 9am - noon, or email me at director@potsdamchamber.com to set up a time to meet. And make sure you like our page on Facebook, join our new Members Only Facebook group!

All the best,

Maggie McKenna

We had a lovely time at the ribbon cutting for 4F Running on September 7! If you haven't already checked out their store, do head in there. They have a nice selection of running sneakers and accessories combined with excellent customer service. It's difficult to buy the right sneakers, and it's incredible to have a store to walk in to that will help you figure out what will work best for you - we're so lucky to have this in Potsdam!

They accept Potsdam Chamber gift certificates and also have their own gift cards now. Visit their website 4frunning.com and their Facebook page.
