HALLOWEEN SAFETY TIPS!
Halloween is a holiday where kids and adults have fun with costume parties, trick-or-treating and making ghoulish recipes.  Help keep you and your children food safe this year by following the safety steps below.
  • Safe treats: Don't eat anything that isn't commercially wrapped. Throw away anything that looks suspicious.
  • Food Allergies: Check the label to ensure the allergens you or your child may sensitive too aren't present. Don't eat any home-baked goods.
Throwing a Halloween party?
  • Unpasteurized juice or cider can contain harmful bacteria such as Salmonella. To stay safe, always serve pasteurized products at your parties.
  • Keep all perishable foods chilled until serving time.  Bacteria will creep up on you if you let foods sit out too long. Don't leave perishable goods out of the fridge for more than two hours (1 hour in temperatures above 90°F)
