The
2019 L.O.V.E. 5k Run will take place on Saturday, August 17th along the scenic St. Michael, MN river road. Join us for a morning of fitness and fun! The event includes a 5k run or walk, kids races and diaper derby, amazing prizes for many age groups, silent auction, cake, balloons, bounce house, face painting, and more! The race begins at 8:30am. All proceeds from the event go to support orphaned children and adoptive families.

Mustard Seed Communities
cares for over 600 children in 14 communities, throughout 4 nations. Their aim is to make a difference in the lives of children who were abandoned, children who have disabilities, children who suffer from HIV/AIDS and teens who are pregnant and alone.

Laurencia's Victory sponsors these two beautiful children (Aashraya and Karthik) in India through Amistad Worldwide. Their mission is to provide love and dignity to the poor and orphaned. India is a land of great needs-more orphans than any other nation-37 million. LV's monthly donations provide direct aid to these two beautiful children of God!

This year LV provided a donation for medicines and supplies for orphanages in Ukraine. Photo shows just some of the items purchased. The money we send goes a long way to supply the needs of these deserving children!

Foster Family/Teacher Gift Bags
Beth O., a local friend and generous adoption advocate went on yet another mission trip to China to serve and bring love and care to foster families. LV provided a donation for gift packages for these beautiful families and teachers. From Beth: "These gifts will be a blessing to the foster families and teachers at a special needs school where we will be serving. They struggle and get very little support because of a culture that doesn't understand. Praying we can walk along side them to encourage and support them and show them God's love through us."

In Loving Memory...
With heavy hearts we bring news of the passing of two very dear friends and loving supporters of LV, Al Zarella and Jim Kalgren. Both Al and Jim bravely fought pancreatic cancer.
We have known Al nearly our entire lives. He never missed an LV race and he captured so many memories for us with his stellar camera skills. Al courageously fought stage four pancreatic cancer for over four years. During that time he created many special memories with his beautiful wife, Rosie, his children and grandchildren. We will miss Al so much and ask that you pray for his family.
Jim was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer just one year ago. He was a colleague and friend of Katrina. Jim's wife Ann, with his two children, supported LV in memory of their infant daughter and sister, Maggie. Some thoughts shared about Jim and how he faced his last year of life with grace and faith can be found here. Please pray for Jim's family as they grieve the loss of their father and husband.
Al and Jim were both at the race last year. Before the race started we specifically talked about them and their diagnoses. We talked about hope and how hope triumphs over suffering and death. We take comfort in the promise of an eternal life of no more suffering and we pray they are with Jesus. We are blessed to call these men our friends and will never forget Al and Jim and the impact they had on so many lives. Their spirits live on in their families and in the many gifts they shared with the world.
Eternal rest grant unto them, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace.
