Carson Lee Lightfoot, 77, passed away peacefully June 25, 2018, in Wadsworth.
He was born July 5, 1940, in Wadsworth, to the late Howard Lightfoot and Gladys Miller (Lightfoot).
Carson graduated from Wadsworth High School in 1958. He served in the Army Reserves for six years, was an entrepreneur, and on the search for that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Carson loved life and people; chit chatting with anyone that would listen. Carson always had an uncanny ability to make people laugh, with his blue eyes, his quick wit, and infectious smile. He enjoyed playing scrabble, being outdoors in the sun, and fishing. He loved going to the football stadium to watch the Grizzlies play on Friday night and watching the lowly Browns play on TV (go Dawg Pound). He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Conover, and stepfather, John Miller.
Carson is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Don Maddox (Lightfoot); brother, Greg Lightfoot (Chuck Lowstetter); brother-in-law, John Conover; stepdaughters, Jill (Vincent) Cyriacks, Sarah Walker. He loved his grandkids Brooke (Joseph) Butera (Maddox), Donald Maddox Jr, Christopher (Deann) Janis, Casey (Michelle) Janis, Chelsea (Ben) Deans (Janis), Jake D'Angelo, Nick (Lori) D'Angelo, Lindsey Walker; and a host of great-grandkids, relatives, and friends.
A special warm and loving thank you to his longtime friend, Carol Stone, who was his angel on earth and advocate.
A special thank you for the wonderful help and care given by Crossroads Hospice.
Carson's final wishes included cremation and a private celebration for family and friends.
