After a spring of red-hot housing prices in 2017, the things have been cooler in the Canadian housing market of late. According to the Canadian Real Estate Association, the national average sales price was down 10.4 per cent year-over-year in March, the third consecutive decline since January.

TORONTO, May 3, 2018 -- Toronto Real Estate Board President Tim Syrianos announced that Greater Toronto Area REALTORS® reported 7,792 sales through TREB's MLS® System in April 2018. The average selling price was $804,584. On a year-over-year basis, sales were down by 32.1 per cent and the average selling price was down by 12.4 percent.
