Join us to explore how trauma impacts early childhood development in Part II - Promoting Resiliency during Trauma, of this webinar series. In Part I, participants learned how chronic stress impacts brain development and creates pathways built for survival. In Part II, participants will learn functional strategies they can implement with the families they serve. Participants will learn how to address trauma within their roles as early interventionists as well as practical strategies to use with the families.

MEET THE PRESENTER:
Andrea Muffly, MS OTR/L
Andrea is an Occupational Therapist with Helping Hands Therapy Services, Virginia Beach. She is currently pursuing her Infant Mental Health Endorsement III through Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist for six years in early intervention, hippotherapy, and outpatient settings. Her interests include sensory processing, self-regulation, infant mental health, trauma, early intervention and family centered practices. She is currently an adjunct professor at South University’s Virginia Beach Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
