Unlocking Blockchain for Energy |
Executive Workshop
Unlocking Blockchain for Energy | Executive Workshop

It seems that no matter where you look today there is some mention of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Perspectives today range from viewing these topics as world-changing innovations to pyramid-type Ponzi schemes. While there is no doubt that there have been some bad actors in the market who have taken advantage of some early investors, the technology itself is in fact rather revolutionary in the sense of its ability to create new business models and value propositions for a variety of stakeholders. The energy industry is a prime example, of a sector which will undergo significant change with the introduction of blockchain technology. Companies today are already using blockchain to reinvent a host of concepts ranging from the creation of decentralized retail models to streamlining of organizational operations and cost structures. In fact, leading energy organizations such as Direct Energy, ConEd, as well as others have already made first inroads to utilizing the technology to improve performance and create new innovative service offerings for customers.

PP&A has established itself as a leading authority on blockchain topics by working and collaborating with a variety of front-running organizations in the space as well as covering and assessing how blockchain technology may impact businesses, governments, and societies as a whole. PP&A offers a series of industry-specific executive workshops which are perfect for organizations looking to understand and explore how blockchain technology may fit in with their business. These workshops include our recently launched, “Unlocking Blockchain in the Energy industry” Executive Workshop.

In our “Unlocking Blockchain for Energy | Executive Workshop,” we combine a blockchain technology onboarding with energy industry-specific perspectives of how blockchain is impacting the sector today. Our team will elaborate on industry-specific use cases and applications for generators, transmission service organizations, regulators, marketers, and energy service providers. As a result of this executive workshop, participants will have a solid foundational understanding of blockchain technology as well as of how blockchain is being used in the energy industry today. With this understanding, participants achieve a sense of clarity about blockchain technology and have the ability to consider how blockchain may impact their respective processes, business lines, and organizations.
