This series of eight videos is based on research evidence about the kinds of activities and activity patterns that contribute to your physical, mental, social emotional and spiritual well-being. Each video will highlight different types of experiences that will prompt you to think about what you do every day, and inspire you to enhance your current routines and activity patterns. Paleontologist Gavin Bradley offers insight into the dinosaurs that once roamed the province in this program for adults. A combination of lecture and hands-on exploration in the field will show participants how to look for dinosaur bones and properly handle their finds. The group will examine a fossil collection, make plaster casts of bones, and learn about the dinosaur era in Edmonton. Then, walk to a nearby bone bed to test your skills. Every year construction workers and amateur fossil hunters are surprised when they find remains that date back 60 million years or more. Have fun, learn about prehistoric times and walk away with a tangible skill.

TREASURER
Sturgeon Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer Association (SHAVA)

SHAVA is recruiting for a Treasurer position on the Board of Directors (voluntary board).

Qualifications: CPA designation or accounting experience. Ability to work with SAGE 50 Accounting System.

Job Description: Oversee all finance for SHAVA. Duties include: make bank deposits, oversee weekly gift shop counters, prepare and submit GST returns and registry filing, organize year end inventory, attend month board meetings (held 2nd Monday evening of each month).

Approximate monthly time commitment: Some day and evening commitments 15-20 hours per month. Commitment is for a 2-year term.
