Stampede on down to your County Courthouse to get your original KHC license plate before it changes! After July 1, the state is limiting the use of color on specialized plates.
Digital production will begin limiting colors on these plates to only 4!  Get your original issue plate now, before your county runs out of their supply!

BCHA-Kansas is committed to keeping track of hours spent by volunteers across the state maintaining trails and keeping our public trails open. In 2014, trail volunteers have accumulated well over 2,000 hours and have raised several thousand dollars for Kansas public trails and camps that are open to equestrians! This information continues to have an impact and improves equestrians' relationships with land managers.

Mission of Back Country Horsemen of America -
To perpetuate the common sense use and enjoyment of horses in America's back country and wilderness areas.
To work to insure that public lands remain open to recreational stock use.
To assist the various government, state, and private agencies in their maintenance and management of said resource.
To educate, encourage and solicit acive participation in the use of the back country resource by stock users and the general public commensurate with our heritage.

THE UNWANTED HORSE COALITION IS COMMITTED TO HELPING UNWANTED HORSES BY:
  • Educating current and future horse owners on responsible ownership, proper care and breeding, and options available before a horse becomes unwanted
  • Raising awareness about the unwanted horse issue and its impact on horses and the horse industry
  • Reducing the number of unwanted horses and working toward eliminating the problem
  • Ensuring that horses are treated humanely and with dignity
  • Facilitating the exchange of information on adoption, care, and alternative careers
  • Providing information on end-of-life decisions, including veterinary decisions, euthanasia, and disposal
  • Explaining the issue through presentations at industry gatherings, including horse association meetings, conferences, symposiums, and horse fairs.
