Is Your Church Building an Asset or a Liability?
From: David Graf, VP for Property Funding & Advisement at Orchard Alliance

What is the value of your church building to your ministry? It seems like a very basic question, and if you currently have a building, you'd likely say it plays an important part in your ability to carry out ministry. If you are part of a mobile congregation that leases space, you may recognize the value of a building more than anyone. But have you ever considered whether your building is truly an asset to your ministry, or a liability? Yes, we all need a place to worship and, yes, we all appreciate 24/7 access to ministry space, but beyond these practical functions, is your building helping your ministry or hurting it? Let's consider this from a few different angles.
WAY TO GO DISTRICT FAMILY!

We recently received a note from Rev. Terry Smith, VP of Church Ministries, thanking our district for the increase in giving for 2018. Way to go District Family!

"Greetings from Colorado Springs! I am writing to say a big THANK YOU for the Mid-Atlantic District's 5.7% increase in GCF giving and 1.5% increase in Alliance Ministry giving in 2018. Your district's giving helps to advance the work of The Alliance around the world in this time of great opportunity."
Urgent Request for Financial Support for One of Our International Worker Couples

Jeff and Betsy Lawrence, one of our international worker couples, are currently in the U.S. due to their daughter's health issues but anticipate a return to Papua in mid-July.  When they return, they will be moving to Wamena. Due to this city's remoteness, the cost of living is going to be higher for them as everything is flown in.  In addition, they are going to have to fully furnish their home there.  They will need to buy everything from dishes and other kitchen items to bedroom and living room furniture, and large appliances, such as stove and refrigerator.

Would you help these international workers by giving?

cmallianceKiDS Missions Giving Project

Back by popular demand-our cmalliancekids missions giving project! This is a great opportunity to point your churches to specific giving from kids to kids. The project works well as a part of VBS, Sunday school, or a midweek children's program. This year funds will go to the Family Village Orphanage in a Southeast Asian country. We have more information (including printable handouts and videos) about the orphanage, its needs, and how to give at www.cmalliancekids.com/missions.

New Alliance Purchasing Program Partner
From Ken Baldes, Vice President for Operations/Finance

The NuQuo Group has recently joined the Alliance Purchasing Program. NuQuo has insider knowledge of the copier and printer industry that allows them to secure better terms, conditions, and pricing on copiers and printers from major manufacturers than clients could get on their own. The company recently assisted the National Office in selecting and negotiating the terms, conditions, and pricing of our new copiers-which is anticipated to save us 21 percent over the next five years.

I am confident that a call to NuQuo will result in significant savings for your district and churches too. To learn more, visit NuQuo's website.
Resonate 2019

Resonate is an annual orientation gathering for new Alliance official workers. Its purpose is to care for and invest in them as followers of Christ; link them with Alliance leadership and others in the Alliance family; and connect them deeply with the work of The Alliance locally and globally.

Resonate 2019's registration cost will increase by $20 at the end of this month. Important details related to registration, travel, and lodging can be found in the attached document.
