U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory: Marijuana Use and the Developing Brain
Surgeon General VADM Jerome Adams is emphasizing the importance of protecting our Nation from the health risks of marijuana use in adolescence and during pregnancy. Recent increases in access to marijuana and in its potency, along with misperceptions of safety of marijuana endanger our most precious resource, our nation’s youth.

KNOW THE RISKS. TAKE ACTION. PROTECT OUR FUTURE.

Community Readiness Surveys
As part of our Integrated Provider Network grant, the Prevention Department is required to survey community members about community readiness in certain areas of substance abuse and gambling. Those areas include: Adult Binge Drinking, Adult Problem Gambling, Adult Prescription Medication Misuse, Youth Marijuana Use, and Youth Tobacco Use. Interviews are between 30-45 minutes and can be done via telephone. If you would be interesting in taking part of this survey, please email Molly Holl at [email protected] .
