Friday, May 31st
6:30pm:  For those coming up on Friday, dinner to be at Ohana Hawaiian Bar & Grill 

Saturday, June 1st
8:30am:  Registration/ Arrival/ Breakfast - at French Lick Resort
9:00am:  Presentation by Indiana Limestone (our retreat sponsor)
10:00am:  Presentation by Britt Brewer, with the J. Irwin Miller Architecture Program, with Indiana University in Columbus.
11:00am:  Jason Williams, Structural Engineer, West Baden Springs Hotel renovation.
12:00 noon:  Lunch
1:00-4:00pm:  Walking Tour of both French Lick Resort & West Baden Springs Hotel.
                        Tour led by George Ridgeway, the architect of the renovation and                                         restoration of both hotels.  He will give us a behind the scenes tour.
6:00pm:  Dinner at French Lick Winery


Cost:  $50 AIA members and their guests.
           $75 for non-AIA members.

There will be drinks and light food. There will also be the "Best of Kentucky" exhibit on display.

URGENT CALL FOR ENTRIES - SUBMISSION DEADLINE - MAY 27, 2019
 
The Congress For The New Urbanism will be hosting their annual congress in Louisville from June 12-15th, 2019 and will welcome over 1,500 attendees to connect architects, urban planners, and place makers from around the globe to explore innovative solutions to local challenges with world-renowned experts. This unique event is a fantastic opportunity to engage with a broader audience about the place we call home and to discuss emerging trends and new solutions for the future of Louisville and surrounding regions.
 
As part of an AIA KY, AIA-CKC, AIA-EKC, and AIA Northern Kentucky group effort, we are asking for your firms "Best of Kentucky" urban design project(s) to display at a planned event hosted by AIA in Louisville for CNU attendees during the conference. AIA-CKC and Lynn Imaging will coordinate the format, printing, and set up of display boards for the event. We only need images and text files/information. Lynn Imaging is going to do the rest!
 
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:  
 
One or two urban design projects per firm:
  • 1-2 images of the project
  • Firm's Logo
  • 50 words or less description of project

Wednesday, May 29th, 6:00 pm at the newly expanded St. Matthew's Library (by Studio Kremer), 3940 Grandview Avenue. 

This talk by Steve Wiser will feature a look at the past and how things have changed as of today.
