May-June 2019 News and Views. Part Two.

Welcome to those who are longtime subscribers and those of you who have recently subscribed. Since my last News and Views was sent at the end of April I am naming this May-June. Scroll down for June transits, which repeats much of what I wrote in the last newsletter since I have been talking for months since my Sensitive Degrees workshop about this amazing setup of planets that are definitely overwhelming and challenging. This section repeats much of what I said in the April News and Views. Part 2. but with added information for June. I talked about what I feel will be the start of a difficult cycle due to the three times that Saturn will be conjunct Ketu-South Node and will exert its influence between end April and beginning October. It does give us a chance to heal, but there may be darkness before the dawn. This means that if the degrees below hit an important planet, point, or angle in your chart, there will be things that will challenge you and you may not find the solution right away. The world in general may seem more ominous. I spoke about administrations toppling and changing (Teresa May resigned), leaders passing away or being assassinated, and natural disasters, maybe fires and explosions. But that does not mean that everyone will go downhill with it. But it does mean that things will happen in the world that seem as if the bottom is falling out, and due to the fact that mid-June the Saturn-Ketu conjunction will be opposite the Mars-Rahu conjunction, there may be a feeling due to actual things happening that the world is in even more disarray than usual.

In the April newsletter, Part One, which was sent out on April 15, I included the following

"...focus on the beginning of difficult aspects, namely the Saturn-Ketu (South Node) conjunction, which will occur three times between April and October.  I have been saying for a while that the last two weeks of April and first of May might see some event or events from earthquakes, fires, terrorism, floods, or passing of a leader that affects the world. We are already feeling those effects since as I write this I am watching this devastating fire that is devastating the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. I hope they will soon get it under control and that fire fighters are safe as they try to contain this fire. This cathedral and all the amazing stained glass windows and masterpieces within its walls is truly one of the most magnificent landmarks in Paris and the world and the architectural genius will be missed. This is also devastating for the effects of smoke throughout Paris."

In the last newsletter dated May 1st I wrote "Since that time, we have experienced the shootings in the churches and hotels Sri Lanka and in the synagogue in San Diego, all hate crimes, and the one in Sri Lanka supposedly an act of revenge for the murder of Muslims in Christchurch, New Zealand. As we approach Ramadan in early May these three weeks that I pointed out become important for this world to finally wake up though I am afraid there may be more difficult events. 

This may not just be in the form of terrorism, but in natural disasters and deaths of leaders and toppling of governments. I say this due to the Saturn-Ketu (South Node) conjunction that will be exact three times between now at the end of September, which means it will still be in orb through mid-October. This is by no means meant to scare people but instead to do the opposite, to urge everyone to feel their own power, and own healing, since whenever things happen in the world around you the best you can do is strengthen yourself, and emanate love and peace."

I also wrote "There will be a climax of this in the first two weeks of June because on June 14 there will be an exact Saturn-Mars opposition, with Saturn conjunct Ketu-South Node, and Mars conjunct Rahu-North Node. This aspect also occurred in October 1962 (when Saturn was also retrograde so Saturn conjoined SoNode-Ketu three times) during the Cuban missile crisis when Russia was planning a base in Cuba and the United States issued an ultimatum that they would have to leave or else....

While this may have nothing to do with Cuba it is interesting that Russia is involved in Venezuelan politics, which is also south of our border, and the US government is also currently at work in trying to find a way to stop immigration at our southern border, which means expulsion, just like we made Russia do in terms of Cuba. I spoke about this in my Sensitive Degrees Webinar, and you can find out about that below. But since Ketu functions like Mars, this conjunction does act like a Saturn Mars conjunction which means that force and control are partnering together. It also means that there will be protracted violence which stays for a while, as Saturn makes things last. Note that on April 30 the conjunction was exact on the same day that Saturn retrogrades, and it is due to the retrograde of course that Saturn and the Node conjoin three times." 

What does that mean for you? What it means is that you can see which area of the chart these conjunctions fall in (read degrees below) and think of that area as one that you have to make friends with since there may be all sorts of obstacles, that will get in the way, but will in the end make you so much stronger. If you have planets, angels, or points, around those degrees think about what the planet stands for and again confront the situation head on. The beauty of these aspects is that it forces things to come to the surface and it will in the end make you stronger. It means that you should not be impatient and make hasty decisions since while Saturn will make you feel that you are in a rut that you cannot get out of, it also means that if you fight against the need to look inward, and contract rather than expand, you will make the wrong move.

Mars hovering around areas or degrees in your chart means that you will be tempted to react to some of the frustration you feel in not being able to make things happen as quickly as you like. Mars may give yo a temper tantrum, or you might feel physically tense from the opposition between Mars and Saturn, and intensified b the Nodes. It is great to do exercises, physical activity, and competitive sports to get out all the frustration. Go to the gym, do yoga, martial arts, running, bicycling, whatever it is you prefer. And wait to make any major decisions until after Saturn goes direct on September 18, when you should contemplate them and put them into motion after Saturn and Ketu-South Node have separated, which will be about October 10. 

Here below are the degrees of the Saturn-Ketu (South Node) conjunction and the Mars-Rahu conjunction. If you have these degrees in something in your chart in sidereal Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini, or Virgo you will feel the effects. And if you have these in tropical Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, and Libra you will feel the effects. Take two degrees on either side. Remember that these dates will be when the world is tense and when people are ready to react. Drive defensively, and do not answer back when someone argues with you. Take the high road, take a deep breath, and work out!!! You can see that as Mars moves away from this configuration it will also conjoin Pluto. 

In addition as we see below Neptune stations retrograde on June 21, 2019 at Tropical 18° Pisces 43. Sidereal 24 Aquarius 41 in  purvabhadrapada,  so this means that there could be lack of clarity, flooding, and other mysteries and disappearances that need to be resolved. But this is one more reason that mid-June through the July eclipses will be tense times but times to consolidate and act accordingly. The market should also be a bit wonky. Practice clarity especially if Neptune conjoins a planet, point, or angle in your chart. 

Below are the dates of these planetary signatures. At the moment we are already feeling this but there will especially be tension between June 12-24 when Mars moves out of orb from the conjunction with Pluto. In July we will continue with eclipses of July 2 and 16. But let's get through June. 

*  June 12.  Mars conj. No.Node- Rahu/opp. SoNode-Ketu . 17 Cancer 52. Sidereal. 23° Gem 50'. punarvasu

*  June 14.  Mars  opp  Saturn. 18 Can 57-18 Cap 57 Sidereal . 24°Gem 55/24 Sag 55'. punarvasu / purvaṣaḍha

*  June 20.  Mars  opp  Pluto. Sidereal.  28 Ge 26-28 Sag 56.  punarvasu/ uttaraṣadha 

    June 21. Neptune stations retrograde. 18° Pisces 43. Sidereal 24 Aquarius 41. purvabhadrapada,

Mars will move into tropical Leo July 1st and will move into sidereal Cancer June 22. This will light up the anger and high strung qualities. 

If you do not know your rising sign, then look at where sidereal Sagittarius, or tropical Capricorn is in relation to your sun sign, and think of that house as the area where you have Saturn, SoNode-Ketu and Pluto so that area will be one that frustrates you but that you have to focus on and work out to your advantage.  Ditto for sidereal Gemini, or tropical Cancer where Mars and NoNode-Rahu will be placed so remember that these two opposite areas of the chart are polarities.  

The houses have similar meanings in both Tropical and Jyotisa, but since there are some differences here is the list below of a few keywords for each house in each system. They are by no means exhaustive

Tropical Houses: 1. personality, body, appearance; 2. finances, possessions, values; 3.  communication, siblings, short journeys, learning;  4. Family, Mother, Home; 5.  children, recreation, entertainment; 6. Health, service, pets; 7. marriage, contracts, partnership; 8. business transactions, sexuality, life and death matters; 9. Higher education, travel abroad, publishing, law; 10. profession, status, father; 11. gains, friendships, hopes, dreams; 12. compassion, spirituality, limitations, solitude

 

Vedic Bhavas (Houses): 1. appearance, destiny, temperament, personality, constitution; 2. Money, family life, food, speech, early childhood; 3.  Siblings, Fine arts, courage, desires; 4. Mother, happiness, real estate, vehicles; 5. Children, romance, investments, speculation; 6. Open enemies, work, competition, obstacles, illness; 7. Marriage, partners, contracts, passion; 8. Life and death cycle, research, accidents, other's money, inheritance; 9. Father, teacher (guru), religion, higher learning, opportunity; 10. Career, status, public recognition, reputation; 11. Profits, rewards, gains from work, awards, older siblings; 12. spiritual practice, secret enemies, foreign travel, debt, confinement.
