The JDA was recently awarded ARC and One Georgia Equity grant funding from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. The One Georgia Equity funding in the amount of $200,000 is for the road construction in the new rail served industrial park located off South Dixie Hwy and ARC funding in the amount of $600,000 was received for sewer improvements to the Carbondale Business Park.

"In Dalton's new, 70-acre industrial park, Healthier Choice Flooring is planning a $12 million plant that will employ 25 more workers and Reagent Chemical and White Flyer Targets plan to build a 150,000-square-foot plant. The jobs numbers and financial investment by that investment have not yet been announced."
