Newsom's EV Executive Order Timeline
Governor Newsom’s Executive Order 20-79 sets a goal of 100% of LD vehicle SALES be ZEV by 2035, but 100% of MD/HD vehicles OPERATING IN THE STATE be ZEV by 2045, and 100% of all PORT DRAYAGE TRUCKS be ZEV by 2035.

Sacramento Clean Cities President, Keith Leech, Moderates Panel on Ford Hybrid Utility Vehicle
Keith Leech, President of the Sacramento Clean Cities Coalition and Chief of Parking and Fleet Services for the County of Sacramento moderated a panel with Richard Battersby, Deputy Director of Public Works with the City of Oakland and the East Bay Clean Cities Coordinator on the Ford Utility Hybrid Pursuit Vehicle. Other fleet managers participating included Mark Stevens, a Sacramento Clean Cities board member, as well as fleet representatives from Alameda, Carlsbad, Contra Costa, Fremont, San Francisco and Santa Rosa.
Sacramento County Adds Natural Gas Vehicles to Fleet
Sacramento County has added 20 natural gas refuse trucks to their fleet. These trucks are made by AutoCar, have Labrie side loader bodies and have the Cummins ultra-low-emission engines running on renewable natural gas.

Ford has announced plans to add the eTransit Van to their EV lineup that includes the eF150 pickup truck and the Mack-E that began commercial production at the end of October.

Volvo Helps Facilitate Authorization for Public MD/HD EV Charging Stations
Volvo, working with a number of industry organizations, has championed an effort that has led to clarifying language from the CPUC allowing owners of vehicle charging stations to act as fuel resellers when they make electric charging available for MD/HD vehicles.

GM Will Begin Selling EV Conversion Kits
GM is getting ready to sell electric vehicle conversion kits that they are calling the “eCrate.” The kit will be the same drivetrain/battery package/controllers used in the Chevy Bolt. To demonstrate the eCrate, GM converted a 1977 Chevy Blazer from gasoline to electric.

US Government energy consumption has decreased by 43% over the past 24 years. 63% of the energy was consumed by vehicles (aircraft, ships, tracked and wheeled vehicles, etc.).

Refineries Report
California Refineries: For the week ending 10/23/20, refineries in California produced 5,912 barrels of gasoline and 1,704 barrels of diesel. Gasoline production was down by 8% and diesel production was down by 21.2% from last week’s production numbers. The 10/26/20 wholesale spot price of propane on the Mont Belvieu Texas board was 52.9¢ per gallon, up a fraction.
