Summer Open House

Learn more about RVCC at the Summer Open House, May 31, 6-8 p.m., in the Conference Center at the College's Branchburg campus.

Hear about the College firsthand from current students and alumni; tour the campus; learn about financial aid options, tuition payment plans, and support services designed to help students succeed; and meet with RVCC faculty. Learn about degree programs that are designed to transfer to top colleges and universities, as well as training programs that can prepare you for a new career in a year or less. Attend workshops on enrolling for the Summer or Fall Semesters, as well as transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC.

Register for Summer Classes

RVCC's Summer Sessions are a great way for high school students to jump start their college education. It's also an opportunity for college students who are home for the summer to earn extra college credits. The College offers three summer sessions: a six-week session beginning May 21; a nine-week session beginning June 11; and a six-week session beginning July 9.

Honors College Information Session

Local high school seniors interested in learning more about RVCC's Honors College are invited to attend an Information Session, May 16, 6 p.m., in the Atrium.

The evening will include information about admission to the Honors College and transfer opportunities after graduating from RVCC. Students in the top 20 percent of their high school class who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, or have a cumulative SAT score of 1100 or higher, are encouraged to attend.

Healthcare Career Program for High School Students

High school students interested in learning more about nursing or other healthcare careers are invited to attend Summer H.E.A.T (Healthcare Exploration and Training) 2018, a five-day summer program in July sponsored by RVCC and Hunterdon Medical Center.

New Transfer Agreements with Bloomfield College, GCU

RVCC has signed new transfer agreements with Bloomfield College and Georgian Court University.

The agreement with Bloomfield College facilitates the transfer of students who receive an AAS in Game Development from RVCC and want to pursue a BS in Game Programming or a BA in Creative Arts & Technology/Game Design Concentration at Bloomfield College.

The agreement with Georgian Court University provides transfer credit and financial incentives for RVCC graduates to pursue their bachelor's degree at GCU.

Nota Bene Event Highlights Student Work

RVCC students were honored for their outstanding academic work across the curriculum at the annual Nota Bene event, held this year on April 20. The event, which was planned and run entirely by students in the College's Event Production class, featured a diverse mixture of literature, videos, demonstrations, and visual artwork. Students were nominated by faculty members to participate in the program, which was held in RVCC's Evelyn S. Field Library.

Students Honored at Annual Robeson Awards

Eighty-five middle and high school students from Somerset and Hunterdon counties were honored for their achievements at the 28th Annual Paul Robeson Youth Achievement Awards Reception, held April 11 at RVCC. The event was sponsored by the College's Paul Robeson Institute for Ethics, Leadership and Social Justice.

Planetarium to Offer Laser and Star Shows

The RVCC Planetarium will present offerings for all interests this month including laser rock shows and a special program about searching for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence.
