The New England Maker Summit (NEMS) 2020

Presented by MakerspaceCT, this year's NEMS will focus on workforce pipeline development with the theme: “The Critical Need for the New Collar Workforce.” This event brings together experts in talent acquisition and manufacturing, Maker Movement industry leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, and curious minds to explore.


The City of Hartford Public Outreach Meetings

Thursday, November 19, two public outreach sessions will present the design concept for Main Street from Wyllys Street to Asylum Street. You can plan to join either of two sessions:
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

The Community Hope Gardens

The City of Hartford has created a community initiative to commemorate Hartford residents who have passed away due to COVID-19. Gardens of yellow daffodils will be planted at gateway locations around the entire city, with several located along Wethersfield Avenue. A groups limited to 12 will meet at the Colt Memorial Statue off of Wethersfield Avenue November 7 at 10:00 a.m. Parking will be across from the park. You must register to participate due to COVID-19 safety precautions. If you have a trowel, please bring it. All attendees must wear a mask. For more information email donnaswarr@gmail.com.
