City Offices start Summer Hours 
From May 31- August 30th, City offices will be operating on summer hours and will close at 3:00 p.m. every Friday.
Story Time Starting this Summer at Colby Park
The City of Windsor Heights is excited to introduce a new and fun opportunity for you and your child. Join your children, as interactive books are read aloud in Colby Park. We will be celebrating individual creativity and personal expression, through craft projects, fun movement, joyful rhythm and the exploration of new friendships. While the books will be geared to the 3-6 year old age group,   ALL age groups are welcome. Our goal is to create a warm and friendly atmosphere, where kids can be kids and you can enjoy quality time with your children, as they explore new experiences.
Where:  Colby Park - Meet near the picnic benches
When: Tuesday mornings: June and July
Time:    10:00 a.m.
What to bring: Blanket or towel to sit on / a drink if it is hot. A book will be read and then we will create a fun craft or play a game, complementing the theme of the story.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Take me out to a ballgame! Senior Day at I-CUBS- June 24th
The City of Windsor Heights Parks and Recreation Department is hosting senior day at the Iowa Cubs on June 24th!  Grab a friend and enjoy a day at the ball field! Game time is at 12:08 p.m.  The cost is $13.00/per person  and i ncludes: Grand Reserve ticket and transportation to and from Principal Park!

For your convenience, a city staff member can pick up a Windsor Heights resident at their home when requested at the time of registration or meet at Colby Park.

Lawn Care Tips
As spring and summer rains arrive, water runoff funnels from streets and driveways into storms sewers and into lakes, rivers and wetlands. Please do your part to keep our waters clean.
Keep Spring Runoff Clean
-Remove pet waste and trash from streets, sidewalks and driveways
-Clean gutters regularly. Put leaves and twigs in a compost pile or bag with other yard trimmings.
-Direct water from downspouts away from paved surfaces and into lawn.
Restore Lawns
-Remove debris and yard trimmings. Do not push them into the street.
-Reseed bare spots. If spots were caused by salt, reseed with a salt-tolerant grass mix.
-Keep newly seeded areas moist for three or four weeks.
