NAIFA-Pennsylvania Dear NAIFA Member:
 
As you know, the NAIFA National Delegate Council voted to change the governance structure of NAIFA effective January 1, 2019. The change will change the locus of some decision-making from the local association level to the state level.
 
With that in mind, NAIFA-PA is working to enlarge our governance structure in order to allow for additional input and direction from local leaders. We are creating three regional teams, East, Central and West, to help us to design programming around the state and to implement NAIFA programs.  The responsibility of the Teams is to maintain representation and activity in their respective areas across the state and help with the ongoing business in those areas:
  • Membership - Plan, Promote, and Retain.
     
  • IFAPAC and APIC - Encourage and educate members on need for giving.  Develop methods to meet and develop relationships with our Legislators.
     
  • Governance - Encourage and develop future leaders to step into leadership roles.
     
  • Regional events - Plan events for their respective area and present that plan to the board for approval.  These events must be submitted to the board in plenty of time for the board to plan for the upcoming year.  The board will need to agree on the events, including the location and funding of these events.
Each Regional Team will have a Team Leader. The Team Leader's duties will be similar to those of the Regional Vice Presidents. The Team Leader will be the "point person" for the region. He/she will oversee a team of volunteers who recommend a calendar of meetings/activities to the state board on a yearly basis. This individual will also recruit team members/volunteers who will assist in the various program areas of NAIFA, including those outlined above. This person will also be a voting member of the state board of directors.
