Council Members Begin New Terms

The North Richland Hills City Council recently canvassed the results of the May 4, 2019 election, placing into office the following City Council Members: 

Place 1 - Tito Rodriguez 
Place 3 - Suzy Compton 
Place 5 - Mike Benton 
Place 7 - Tim Welch 

Each Council Member was elected at large to serve a two-year term.

The City Council also recognized Tom Lombard for 10 years of distinguished service and dedication to the community of North Richland Hills in Council Place 3.

Memorial Day Closings

NRH City Hall and other non-emergency city offices will be closed Monday, May 27, 2019 for the Memorial Day Holiday. The NRH Library, Animal Adoption & Rescue Center, Municipal Court, Senior Center and Richland Tennis Center will also be closed. The NRH Centre, Iron Horse Golf Course and NRH2O Family Water Park will be open on Memorial Day. Please check their websites for specific holiday hours. 

The trash and recycling collection schedule will not change for the holiday. Monday collections will be made as normal.
 
Public Works Week

This week is National Public Works Week. If you see a Public Works employee this week, be sure to thank them! They are the men and women who handle your water, wastewater, drainage, flood control, streets and traffic control, all while protecting the environment. Crucial stuff! We appreciate all that they do.

Mayor's Summer Reading Club Begins June 1

Explore a universe of stories with the Mayor's Summer Reading Club at the North Richland Hills Library! Participants can earn prizes for recording how long they spend reading from  June 1 through August 3 . Children will also enjoy themed events all summer long with special guest performances on Thursdays. Adoptable Pets & Reduced Adoption Fees


Tuck and Chloe  are two of the many pets at the NRH Animal Adoption & Rescue Center who are waiting for a loving homes just like yours! In fact, the center is currently full and has reduced adoption fees to only $25 to help find these shelter pets new homes. 

Tuck is a 4-year-old Shar Pei-Terrier mix who loves to run around and chase a ball . He is full of fun, energy and love . Chloe is a 9-month-old short haired purring machine.  Stop by the center at 7301 Iron Horse Boulevard to meet Tuck, Chloe and all of their furry friends today.
