Greetings!

As a part of our health-related focus, the Community Investment Fund supports wellness and prevention programs, substance abuse and mental health programs, and increased access to health insurance and nutritious food.

In the last edition of our e-newsletter, we discussed our partnership with FamilyWize, a prescription discount program. However, support of local health initiatives doesn't stop there. We currently fund seven programs run by six local agencies focused on creating a healthier community for all. These programs include ACORN Clinic's Dental Home for Low Income, and Help Everyone Achieve Lifetime Health (HEALTH), Catholic Charities' Weekend Hunger Backpack, Child Advocacy Center's Reducing Trauma - Therapy, Girl's Place's BrainPower, Institute for Workforce Innovation's (IWI) MSCC Lunch Bunch, and Peaceful Paths' Violence Prevention & Intervention.

The programs run by ACORN Clinic and Peaceful Paths support wellness and prevention, and Girl's Place and the Child Advocacy Center programs help with mental health, and Catholic Charities and IWI programs help with nutritious food. These programs all help to create a healthier and happier community.
