City of Two Rivers Parks and Recreation has tickets available for purchase for Great America "Any Day" Pass and WPRA Week (June 30-July 8, 2018) does not include entrance into Hurricane Harbor, Great America Season Pass, Milwaukee County Zoo, Mt. Olympus Water & Theme Park, Noah's Ark Water Park, Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf, Original Wisconsin Ducks, Upper Dells Boat Tour, Upper Dells Jet Boat Adventure.  Tickets are available at the TR Parks and Recreation Department, Monday- Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm.  Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.

River's Bend Health Services is holding a Corn Roast on Wednesday, June 20, from 4:30-6:30pm. Forst Inn Arts Collective:  Join us this weekend for the hilarious musical comedy,

Rahr-West Art Museum:  Celebrate the unique talents of Manitowoc sculptor, R.T. Wallen, as our community gets set to unveil his dramatic Spirit of the Rivers sculpture on the Lake Michigan shoreline.  R.T. Wallen, naturally showcases his creations in bronze and stone lithography.  This exhibition will be on display at the Rahr-West Art Museum July 1 through September 16, 2018.  We hope you will join us for a public opening reception on Sunday, July 1st, at 1:00pm at the Rahr-West Art Museum.  All are welcome!

Two Rivers Historical Society:  The Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble will be having a concert at the Historic Washington House this coming Sunday, June 24, at 2:00pm.  There is limited seating in the beautiful upstairs hall!  Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for anyone under 18.  The Milwaukee Handbell Ensemble is 16 ringers playing 144 handbells and handchimes.  They appear regularly with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for their Holiday Pops concerts.  You should not miss this unqiue and exciting group of musicians that will play Bach to the Beatles.  Something for young and old!

Manitowoc Public Library:  Is any ice cream sweeter than FREE ice cream? Miss Harbor Cities Organization, Inc. (MHC):  The Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Pageant was held last week in Oshkosh.  Miss Harbor Cities' Outstanding Teen, Olivia Lulich, was named the non-finalist physical fitness winner.  Miss Harbor Cities, Serena Larie, was named as a Top 11 semi-finalist and the Overall Evening Gown Winner.  Miss Great Lakes, Alyssa Bohm, (MHC 2017) was also named as a Top 11 semi-finalist.  Miss Wood Violet, Tianna Vanderhei, (MHC 2016) was named Miss Wisconsin 2018! She won an award for the highest score for a dancer in the talent competition and the Overall Interview Award.  Tianna will compete for the title of Miss America in Atlantic City this September, which will be televised nationally on ABC.  Photos can be found here .

The Salvation Army is in transition.  Lts. Jeff and Terri Olson are heading out of the area after many years of great service in our community.  There will be a Farewell Service, June 24, at 10:00am followed by a lunch.  Lt. Jennifer Moffitt will be joining the local Corps with a Welcome Service, July 1, at 10:00am.  Both are open to the public.  In other Salvation Army news; bell ringing will be happening again in July as we focus on "Christmas in July" to help keep resources available to meet the needs of our neighbors who come to us requesting support.  Go to www.ringbells.org to reserve your spot or call the office at (920) 684-7117.  The campaign will run July 9-14 with some special summer locations!
