Join the Cats! A Detroit All-Star house band opens the bandstand for musicians of all ages to sit-in and share jazz in the time-honored jam session tradition. The band features Chris Collins (woodwinds), president and artistic director of the Detroit Jazz Festival, along with Dwight Adams (trumpet),
Cliff Monear (piano),
Ralphe Armstrong (bass) and
Gaylynne McKinney (drums).
Collins will be scoping out participating artists and festival staff will be on hand to accept submissions from artists/ensembles to be considered for the 2018 Detroit Jazz Festival.
