The BC, Okanagan & Thompson region support groups held a two-day information session for 42 patients and caregivers, five physicians and five healthcare professionals.
 
The topics discussed ranged from Myeloma 101 to radiation therapy, nephrology and amyloidosis. Giving hope to patients, there were a few sessions on clinical trials, new therapies which included CAR T-Cell Therapy and immuno-oncology. Martine Elias, Executive Director of Myeloma Canada talked about advocacy in Canada and what Myeloma Canada is doing both provincially and federally.
