The Quilts Around the Bay Shop Hop is coming up very soon! We are ready for all of the hoppers to arrive and look forward to seeing you all!

We are happy again to welcome the Village Quilters of Catonsville to the shop for their annual visit!

And we can't forget welcoming our March retreaters who will be arriving March 8th!

In addition, if you visit all 8 shops and have a completed passport, you will receive a discount card for 10% off regularly priced purchases at all 8 shops for an entire year!

This year, we invite you to participate in our 3rd Annual Serendipity Quilt Shop Challenge as we celebrate our 12th Anniversary. The challenge is to finish a project of your choice using a pattern (or design your own!) that includes baskets.

 During the Quilts of Valor Day we encourage you to bring your own sewing machine to use, if possible. We will have sewing machines set up for those who do not have a sewing machinge as well as pre-cut fabric available for anyone who wants to come and make a quilt block or stay and make several that will go into a QOV quilt. 
No sewing experience needed!
Volunteers always needed for Quilting, Binding and Pillow Cases.

In this class you will learn fun and easy designs that will allow you to start finishing your own quilt tops. You will be shown overall designs plus designs that will work in blocks, triangles, and sashings and borders. You will leave this class with a multitude of designs and ideas on how to start your journey in free motion quilting. Pack your lunch for this class as we will take a 30 minute break for lunch!

Learn the basics of Tee Shirt Quilt Construction from selecting and cutting your shirts to piecing the quilt, in 2 sessions. Manx Quilting - At first glance these blocks look like traditional log cabin quilt blocks. But their construction is different, in a foundation-pieced quilt-as-you-go method using strips of fabric. The Manx method is inexpensive and portable. It requires no fancy notions or batting, uses up scraps of fabrics, is easy, FUN, and addictive. No sewing machine is required as this is a hand stitching class. Anyone can accomplish Manx stitching!

This 2-part class uses the "New York Beauties & Flying Geese" Book by Carl Hentsch. In this class Irene teaches the technique where complex piecing is made simple! Expand your skill set and learn new tips and techniques for curved and foundation piecing. The design allows you to select whatever combination of blocks make you happy. Once you learn the technique, you can choose any quilt from the book or make one block for a pillow or 3 blocks for a table runner. Prerequisite: Must have paper piecing experience or must have previously taken the Intro to Paper Piecing class.
