 UC Bay Area Supply Chain is an organization of nearly 100 professionals from two of the largest UC campuses (Berkeley and San Francisco), who are dedicated to saving our campus and Medical Center communities time and money in obtaining the goods and services they need so they can spend their time and money supporting their primary missions: teaching, research, health care, and public service. We are innovative, collaborative and aggressive, and by the 2017 fiscal year we will be delivering over $50 Million in supply chain benefits annually to our campuses and the University as a whole. UC's template documents have been updated to make sure the terminology is consistent and current . The  Office of General Counsel and Procurement encourage everyone to "go cold turkey" and stop using forms previously saved on individual computers.  Read more

Spend Analytics 2 Live on All Campuses
   

All ten campuses are now live on Spend Analytics Phase 2. Campuses can now leverage information regarding purchases and spend that occurs at their own campus, at other campuses and systemwide, enabling more complete analyses of products, suppliers and pricing. Read more

Procurement win featured in Daily Bruin  
  
Recently, UCLA's Daily Bruin featured an article about the replacement of toilet paper and paper towel dispensers in bathrooms across campus as part of a UC-wide project to reduce paper towel waste. In addition to reducing waste, the article pointed out the cost savings for each campus, based on a new systemwide agreement for janitorial products resulting from a reverse auction run by the MRO & Facilities COE. Read more
