The Salvation Army  in Manitowoc will be a recipient of items from the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive done by the Postal Service. The event for this year is May 12. Make sure to get your items in a bag by your mailbox. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated for this event. Lakeshore Technical College   (LTC)  is excited to announce its 2018 Summer College offerings. Three college courses - Intro to Psychology, Oral Interpersonal Communication, and Intro to American Government - are offered in both Manitowoc and Sheboygan. Attend one day a week throughout the summer and earn 3 college credits for each class you take. Start LTC with up to 9 credits or transfer them to a 4-year university. United Way Manitowoc County:  Please join United Way and Bellin Health for the last event in the Spring Public Awareness Series: Poverty and Healthcare. The event will cover financial resources available to patients and how to access healthcare (i.e., when is it appropriate to go to urgent care or Emergency department). Manitowoc Public School District (MPSD) invites the community to a listening session on May 15 at 7:00pm in the Wilson Junior High School auditorium to gather public input and answer questions regarding grade realignment. The plan to increase student opportunities, staff collaboration, and district efficiency will bring 9th graders to Lincoln High School and turn elementary schools into K-5 schools. The MPSD is excited to better serve their families in the future and would love to hear from you!  
 
Rahr-West Art Museum has announced its summer programming. Preschool Panic will take place on Wednesdays in July; Young Artists on Tuesdays in July and August; a different Kids Clay Camp will take place each month; a teen Linoleum Block Printing class in August; the Digital Arts Program in partnership with the Manitowoc Public Library will take place throughout the summer. Point Beach State Forest , along with the Friends of Point Beach and Point Beach Concessions, invite you to our annual Breakfast in the Forest on Sunday, June 3, 8:00am - 12:00pm!  Join us for an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet with food made fresh onsite. University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc:  The annual  spring Commencement ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 22, at 7:00pm in the University Theatre.  Dr. Alan White, recently retired professor of philosophy, is the Commencement speaker. UW-Manitowoc graduates will be awarded the Associate of Arts and Science Degree. A reception for graduates and their families will be held in the commons following the ceremony. Lakeshore Humane Society 's 4th Annual Golf Outing, "Putting for Pets" scramble, will be held on Monday, June 4, starting at noon.  The Golf Course at Branch River is a perfect course for this fundraiser.
