VCS Weekly Newsletters and Updates
May 17, 2019
Dear Vacaville Christian Community,

This week was a busy, exciting time at VCS! On Monday, our girls softball team won the first round of section playoffs in a back-and-forth matchup against Big Valley Christian. The Lady Falcons head to Stockton today to play Stone Ridge Christian for the next round of playoffs. On Tuesday, our conservatory students, jazz ensembles, and Radio Symphony Orchestra gave families a noteworthy performance at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre. Tonight, I look forward to celebrating our student athletes at our annual ESPY Awards ceremony!
As Head of School, I am called to embody a spirit of stewardship while leading our ministry toward a worthwhile mission, and this includes decisions regarding staffing. In order to increase financial efficiency, transition software systems, and improve organizational structure, I’ll be carrying out staffing changes in the areas of business operations and marketing, including some outsourcing, which will ultimately improve our school. These changes will not impact your child’s education, and we will proactively communicate any future updates in these areas.

As we look forward to graduation, I reflect on all that God has done in the lives of our students this school year. Monday evening, we will honor seniors during our annual senior awards ceremony. I look forward to these remaining moments with the class of 2019 before sending each of them on to exciting new opportunities.
Ben Davis, MAEd
